So I was right, Juza. I got this info about 5 weeks back in Köln from a dealer and nobody believed me.
PS: I gave u two calls, processed images from the trip?

BTW, how did you get this official announcement of 24th?

I'm all over the f/4 IS lens!!! That is sweet!

Hi Prashant,
I forgot to turn on my mobile phone ;-)

So far I've processed only few images...I've been pretty busy these days. The date has been revealed on a press release that shortly appeared on a Canon official website.

Show me an official announcement of the 400D. The only thing I have seen on Google are terrible photoshop doctored images, one going so far as to incorporate a cell phone keypad on the back (ha, ha, ha).

maybe a 200 1.8 too
Posted by Juza on August 23, 2006 at 5:30 PM
It is possible...actually, I'm a bit sad that they didn't announce the new wide-angle I was wainting for...but at least I'll save some money ;-)

You were right!

Juza,
so I guess you can now return your 'err99' 350D to canon and rightfully get a 400D from them free of any costs. I must say 699$ is impressive for this camera and perhaps a very good answer to D80.
Posted by Juza on August 24, 2006 at 11:10 AM
Hi Prashant,
if the poor 350D has gone ill due to water I doubt that they will repare it free of charge...and of course they won't give me a 400D for free ;-)

So, does anyone think that they will still release the mythical 3D (or equivalent) at photokina? Or just the IDsMk3 (rumor)?
Posted by Juza on August 24, 2006 at 11:42 AM
I don't think that they will announce a 3D...a new 1 is possible, but not sure.
