All,
I have a new job and I need to move to Southern California for a few years - hopefully I will be back in 3 to 5 years. I will be bouncing back and forth to Colorado over hte next few years so I will not be completely gone. This new job will mean less traveling so I can travel and photograph more often - let's hope that winds up to be true.
My question - I am packing up my house stuff and I have realized I have about 4 CRT monitors that I need to get rid of. Does anyone know the best way to do that?
A fifth monito is a LaCie 19" Electron Blue if anyone wants it - free to the first person to come and pick it up.
I'll properly dispose of 4 in return for the 5th. Could pick up all on Friday. What d'ya think?

If they're small monitors (<17"), you're not going to be able to get rid of them easily. Paying $10 per monitor to Ecocycle is about the best you'll do. 17" monitors you can give to The Jared Polis Foundation, who will take your monitors and distribute them to in-need schools and community organizations.

Nice. One other Scott down, how many more to go??
In all seriousness, best of luck and don't be a stranger.

Scott,
I grew up in Southern California and just moved to Colorado recently. While you are there here are a few photographic oportunities to take advantage of.
Take a little time to see the most beautiful parts of the state:
1. You really have to visit the High Sierras in Northern Cal. while there. They are truly spectacular. My three favorite mountain area getaways:
* Yosemite
* Mammoth
* Kings Canyon
2. You can also find some really nice coastal compositional ops. Here are some of my favorites (Southern)
* Palos Verdes
* Laguna
* La Jolla
3. Central/Northern coasts - Worth the drive:
* Big Sur
* Monterey/Santa Cruz
For my wife and I, we really liked to get away from the crouds and concrete jungle. The Northern California coast or mountains were excellent places for that - very beautiful and picturesque.
