I just thought that I would state that my housework doesn't get done, my vegetable garden is overgrown with weeds and ripe plants and I REALLY don't get enough sleep because I SO enjoy the talent of the people of this website. And also the writings of the various critiques. Hours quickly go by before I remember that I should eat, or get ready for work or...

So thanks!!! Chris :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

Chris, I'll have to second that! :toast:

As I look at my rotund belly, I realize that I'm not missing many meals, but otherwise I'm on board with you. Greatest resource on the web...! :wavey:

I can't stress how much I've learned since joining up here...and am constantly in awe of the talent, professionalism, honesty and good nature of the photographers here.

I spend alot of time here each day for sure...time I could be spending shooting, but I think I learn more from the shots of others....it's justified!!!

I ditto all of the above comments. Another thought. This website keeps me very humble. Even my best stuff is average at best around here. This only makes me more determined to keep improving. Truly inspiring.
My wife thinks I'm addicted to NPN, and she may be right. She's also quick to admit that it's made me a better photographer. :wavey:

So, we've ruined your life and you're glad? Just joshin'

It IS, indeed, nice to find a civil photography site that has enough good photographers to keep your interest and enough sincere critiques to let you know why people are reacting to a photo.

I agree with all of the above comments. I try to come in here every day, even just for a look at the topics if I don't have time to make comments on some pictures and its one of my fave places to be. I too have learned SO MUCH since joining & hope that my photos have improved because of it. But, as I type this, a sink full of dishes is overflowing & my floors need a good mopping. So yes, I'm a bit addicted as well. Time to 'unplug' for a bit & get some stuff done!

Thanks everyone for making this such a great site for learning, viewing & general niceness!

200% correct. I joined NPN in 2001 and it is the only site which I visit/Enjoy for such a long time.

I don't miss any meals either, but I certainly miss the exercise I need to be getting as I sit in front of the computer screen looking at NPN! I agree this site has kept me inspired and kept me trying to improve. Also, I appreciate the honesty and integrity here.

I would also like to add that it is a good forum to meet other photographers here and in person that may be close to where you are and not even know it! :wavey:

NPN is far and away the best nature photo critique site on the web. The one thing that really sets the tone here is that people actually use their REAL NAMES. It may seem minor, but I believe that when folks hide behind pseudonyms, things tend to get ugly.

I agree with all of the above comments. My daily trip to NPN has turned my photography from a hobby into a passion (and cost me lots of money as well for equipment  ) I am so very thankful to have found this site and appreciative of the many experts whose critiques have helped me to learn more.

I could not agree more. NPN has turned my photographic life around. I was MAJORLY addicted in the first year that I found NPN...now it is more of a minor addiction...

I agree totally - not only is NPN the greatest photo website going IMO, it is also the friendliest and most helpful as well. A bunch of great people here! The biggest thanks should go to Jim & Donna for providing the site for the rest of us, and for setting the tone of civility that's expected and lived up to!

I agree.......with out a doubt this is a terrific site and provides a wealth of knowledge and specific information about all types of photography. I know it has helped me.........alot. ....and yes I spend way more time here than I should sometimes.

Yup, this is the only site on the internet that I visit daily.....with morning coffee, lunch break and and for dessert after dinner! And sometimes tucked in between those intervals too! Yikes, I think I am addicted but no rehab necessary for this junkie! :wavey:
