Taken at a Bird Of Prey centre, hence adding the C for captive.

I'd love to see/photograph these awesome birds in the wild. But for me this is the next best thing.

When i went to visit, he was terrorising the secondry school, all the kids where cowering at one end while he chased after the balls at the other

Nice shot, btw have a look at my site in the my birthday and cotswolds easter folders :)

Hi Paul

Looks like they use the same birds for the displays each time.I have the same one in my album.

I've been twice now(last year and this year).Last year i saw the tawny fly, but not this year.It was very hot so that may have been the reason ?.

It was great see'ing the Little Owl's going in and out of the pipes aswell

Hi Alan,
I used to live very close by, literally just over the hill in fact. I’ve been twice this year, on the 2nd of July it was so hot most of the birds where just sat in the water on the hawk walk. The merlin/peregrine cross is an awesome little bird, so fast and agile! The Saker was a sight to behold too. As you can probably tell I have a soft spot for the bigger birds, esp the eagles.

I’ve really enjoyed my self every time i’ve been there. I need to find a local place i like.

Having these birds captive in rescue centres is a nice way to get close-ups and portraits. These places do a good job too and are needed for sick and injured birds. Very nice sharp shot.

Very good job on the bird, and I like the dappled shades of green in the background. The longer I look at the pic, the more my eye goes to the little white feather sticking up on the top of his head. Get him to comb his hair before you take a shot, next time!
