Hand baggage limits

The latest report for the UK states that the maximum measurement of any hand baggage are: 45 x 35 x 16 cm; anything obove those measurements will have to be checked in.

What is the feedback from people traveling to and from the UK? Are they checking in or postponing/cancelling their photography?
