Mount Baldy not Cinnamon Mountain
This was taken about a month ago up in Paradise Divide Basin at sunset. I wanted to get a different look of Mount Baldy, ie I did want the usual pond on the pass look. Mount Baldy is often mistaken as Cinnamon mountain in people's posting of images due to the color of the mountain. Cinnamon mountain is actually directly behind me. Thanks for looking.

Oh by the way Brent D. was just up there this past weekend take a look at some of his great images.

Pentax 67II
Pentax 55mm
Fuji Velvia 100
ND Grad

Brent D., I hate you.

Nice shot, Jody. Those meadows are quite a haven for elephanthead flowers.

Brent, those are magical! Get some of them up here for the masses!

Jody, love the pond in the corner with the elephantheads.

I like the composition, colors and contrast. I would just lighten up the top to match the reflection (which is brighter on my monitor). Thanks for posting the link to Brent's photos.

Between Jody and Brent, I'm not sure if anyone has ever had a better summer of shooting. All the postings of Jody this summer have been excellent. And I just reviewed all of Brent D's recent trips, and I was cursing with rage at how awesome of a summer he has had. Man I'm jeaoulous of you Brent and Jody!

Jody, I think the lower part of the image is too bright. It looks like the foreground is brighter than the mountain tops, which should not happen in this light. A little heavy on the ND grad on this one. But I have to agree with Brian, you and Brent have been giving us consistent excellent images all summer.

Here's to both of you :toast:

A reason for the foreground being light as it was due to the clouds overhead were acting like a huge diffuser/reflector. Some of the wildest reflective light that I have seen. My later images actually had a warmer tone too them in the shadows, almost a goldenish look.

Nice work again, Jody. Great light and the elephant's head decorating the lake is a very nice touch.

Great shot! Love the warm light and the reflection in the water.

Jody, killer shot! You are right, those little tarns do work well. I saw them from higher up the road, but never actually hiked down to them to shoot. Got a little distracted up top!

Thanks also for the nice comments from everyone else too. Well, except Todd C of course! HA!  Just kidding TC. I'll post a shot or two in a bit.
