Work has been occupying all my time lately and will into the forseeable future, so posting has been slow to say the least.
I spent some time reprocessing an image made last fall in RMNP. This is a two image composite, cropped 15% top & right. Loved the glow on/in the backlit aspen and it was the first time I'd noticed that the white trunk of the aspen was actually glowing yellow from the sunlight reflected from the leaves.
I'm trying to get pumped up for the fall! Thanks for looking!

Wayne - that's a beautiful aspen and I love the light coming through - it lights things up nicely, giving the leaves a very luminous quality. The green trees in the left side of the image are fairly prominent, though and perhaps lessen the impact of the brilliant aspen.
Thanks for posting - I'm looking forward to fall, too!
I definately like the subject, and you've made a good choice with exposure. I'm with Tim on the green trees on the left. They take up a bit too much of the frame IMO. Come on FALL!

Wayne - I've looked at this several times now, and like it better each time. But as already mentioned, the aspen would probably have more impact were it not for the competeing pines on the left. The light here is just wonderful though, and you really handled shooting into the sun well with the nice sunburst pattern. Thanks for posting! I'll try to remember this in a few weeks.
