Another take on Sunrise Park, Rainier National Park. This from an evening Rick and I spent shooting. Well, I actually have no idea where Rick went but we managed to meet back at my car later and headed back to camp. The dusty/hazy appearance to the right of the mountain is a result of so much rockfall coming down the peak created its own little dust storm! Thanks for commenting.

I had no idea the mountain had so many slides. Kind of scary...
You nailed this one in my opinion. Another perfect use of the ol gnd. I remember those little clouds being in front of the mountain...
I was back up the hill some from ya. I just didn't want to put my tripod in your holes. Still havent gotten a chance to really process any images. Too many side things going on...rebuilding email servers at work (17 hour shifts), preparing for shows, everything else in between.

Marc: I like this a great deal. Great balance and the river is a great addition. Your image is exactly what I saw from the Silver Forest trail, except I did not say for sunset. I wanted to beat all of those parking lot consumers down the mountain before nightfall. Not a bad idea since I hit Mazama ridge early the same morning.

I like the comp and the contours of the hillsides. Nice subtle glow around the mountain.

Very nice - I will have to make the drive to this part of the park next time I am up there.

Marc,
Another stellar image with great colors and processing. Everything is laid out just perfectly.
An excellent image to be sure. The mountain looks a little flat to me, perhaps from the haze, but it is a minor thing and perhaps its just me. Nice work.
