This is my first post in this discussion group, so I hope that I get everything right. I have just posted a new gallery on my website with pictures that I took during a Working With Artists workshop entitled Intimate Landscape. The instructor was Greg Cradick and he did a great job of getting us to focus on the small things in front of us rather than the grand vistas. I'm excited about my pictures because I feel like I was able to produce exactly what I envisioned when I took the picture. These pictures may be a little different than what is normally posted here and I hope you enjoy them. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think. Thanks for looking.

Nice work, Evan. I'm a big fan of intimate nature photography and I think your work does a good job of representing your artistic vision. Welcome to the group!

Great galleries, Evan! I especially like the patterns of "grass-waves." I also like the shot on your home page, and the flowers gallery.
Welcome Evan! Great stuff. I too like Grass Waves, but I really dig the Hidden Flower shot the best. Love that curve going though the image! Hope to see more! Love the triptychs in your landscape gallery too!

Welcome, Evan. I enjoyed your galleries, especially Death Valley. It's been far too long since I've had time to visit DV. Back in the '70s, Berkeley spent most of their 5 week geology summer field camp there - carried a LOT of water.
Best wishes on your new venture into landscape photography,
Welcome Evan - and very nice gallery of intimate shots. I particularly liked the purple flowers and hidden flower images. I think you'll find a good number of intimate shots here at RMNP as well as the grand scenics - hopefully a good source of inspriration for you as you continue to explore that type of photography. For me, personally, I tend to find myself spending more time shooting intimate scenes than the big sweeping vistas. I enjoy both, but working an intimate scene and coming away with a successful image seems more gratifying to me.
Nice work - looking forward to seeing more!
