Does anybody know if there's any access to photograph the old brewery (any legal access that is)?
thanks

Do you mean from the outside, or inside?
From what I have seen looking in from the outside, it would be rather dangerous to go above the ground floor due to dampness and dryrot to the wood support structures. It's locked up of course, and the whole site is in legal limbo over ownership, water rights, and bankruptcy issues. To pursue an inside connection I would start with the Security guards who closely patrol around the old building in their SUV.
There can be excellent outside views in evening light from a number of vantage points in the area.

Rod I am not sure what is happening there but I live fairly close to it - so i will inquire for you - I assume it is to photograph within the premises or as close as possible

I'm Just interested in photographing the outside. I wasn't sure if it's all private, gated off, or what and figured I'd ask here before driving down there (you know, the price of gas and all )
thanks for checking Kevin

There are lots of shot opportunities from Tumwater Falls park, Rod. You should have no problem spending some quality time there...Hope to see some of your shots if you make it down there.
Cheers,
