Just wanted to point you to an article in today's Springfield News-Leader about digital photography that contains some great info and photos from Tim Buchanan! (and he mentions this message board) This link is probably only good today (August 31st), but here it is - Amateurs Capture Digital Images.

Way to go big guy!

Congrats Tim B.! Nice pics in the article. So, you've been at this for three years, huh? As Will Geer's character, Bear Claw Chris Lapp, said to Robert Redford's character in the movie Jeremiah Johnson: "You've come far pilgrim."

Best,
Don

Way to go TIM B! You chose some great pictures for the article too. I didn't realize you have only been taking photos for three years, you're advanced way beyond your age (photographic age that is)!

By the way, who is that "Tom" Buchanan  , your evil twin, or is he the "good" one? Keep up the great work!

Nice write-up Tim! It's always feels good to get a little recognition for the time and hard work that goes into making a great image. Congratulations! :toast:

Wow - I guess this is my 15 minutes of fame! Thanks for the comments! I don't know who "Tom" Buchanan is either.

The journalist also made the assumption that the bottom picture had been digitally manipulated when it was just a long exposure and missed the photo that had been digitally manipulated (the first one of snowy pass, which was a blended image). It's an interesting glimpse into how people perceive photos in the digital age.
