Came across many of these in Cornwall, I see a shot with their wings open must be very rare indeed from my limited experience of them.
This has had some PS treatment as the background was quite busy.
Cheers

Very nice Tim. PS work looks very good.
Is this hand held? Didn't think this type of shot was possible without a macro lens!!

An uncommon number of these beauties around South Wales this year. No pictures of them for me yet, though. I would be happy with a shot half as good as this. Superb!

Hi Tim,
Excellent as usual and sharp in all the right places. Nice one.

Hi Tim
Saw at least six of these last week close to my home but never took a shot due to the windy conditions. I would have been well pleased if I had managed anything as good as the above shot!

Good one... bg looks just a touch overdone to me, although very well done I should say... was this Gaussian or lens blur? if gaussian it might be worth trying the lens blur filter instead...

Hello Tim
Superb image of the bfly, I must admit that I can't see your PS work, but sounds like the old master above can!
Best wishes

The very old, ancient, nearly dead master has a fair point I reckon. I will have another go and be less heavy handed with the blurring, I don't have lens blur I shall try median.
