I spent the week working on my feeding station. Last spring i put some fresh horse manure behind the log pile thinking it would help bring in the flies and possible Flycatchers which I'd been told had been seen over the years. I've had four Spotted Flycatchers up in the trees at about fourty feet, in the twiggy tops and its also been windy. According to the local bird recorder its the first time they've been spotted in four years in this area.
Today its been reletively still and they came down and into range.
Comments welcome.
Best Regards.

It's very satisfying when a plan works out and produces results. The out-of-focus branch running diagonally across the image is a bit of a problem though, imo, and if I was going to make a print of this, I would probably try to adjust that area so that it matched the darker background tones.

Provide the habitat and you will be rewarded sooner or later, as you have been here. Nice subject. I agree with Phil the OOF branch needs sorting IMHO.
