I haven't posted a pic here for ages, although I have been lurking and continue to be impressed by the quality of images. Can't say why I haven't been doing a lot of photography recently, it just seemed to happen that way!
Anyway thought I would re-start my hobby with this image taken in my garden. Please feel free to critique as you see it, I've a lot to learn.

Attractive pose and composition. The sun looks to be quite high in the sky so the starting point for your exposure at ISO 200 should be f8 at 1/800s, or an equivalent exposure value. Since you have some white highlights in the image you need to stop down at least 1/3 of a stop to f8 at 1/1000s to retain detail. Your exposure is 1 and 1/3 stops higher than this and some of the brightest areas of the image have lost some detail as a result.
Many people think that PK Sharpener is too aggressive for web images and often produces unwanted halos, although not in this case.
Thanks Phil, Terry and Alan. Your comments are all very helpful. I have tried to reduce the contrast in Photoshop is this better?
Phil. I have only just started using PK Sharpner and was unware of the poterntial for producing halos on web images. Something for me to watch in future. Thanks. I should say though that I am very happy with the sharpening quality I get on prints.

The lighting is not ideal, although the colours are nicely saturated to my eye.
Hope you get another crack at this chap soon!
