Travelling in Mass the next three weeks with film cameras, where can I find fast E6 developing and maybe even, like, 35 mm film? Western Mass location preferable.....

Thanks in advance. I usually lurk in the PNW forum, check it out, some of my colleagues and neighbors are making wonderful images.....

And if anyone has a favorite site in Mass to share, I'd love that too....

Eric,

It has been years since I worried about film processing, and then I live in eastern Mass so that was where I sought out those services. I am not familiar with any labs still operating in western Mass. Your best bet might be to talk to the folks at Hunt's in Hadley, Mass;
(http://www.amherstarea.com/business/index.cfm/fa/showBusiness/CompanyID/810.cfm
about local labs, or thier processing service. Hunt is a New England photo retailer who have about 4 or 5 stores in New England. They are a serious photo retailer.

As far as place in Western, Ma for photo opportunities you should check out a couple of sites that have some options:

Trustees of Reservations - an organization that preserves land of special natural, cultural, or historical significance. You might want to look at Bartholomew's Cobble and
Mountain Meadow Preserve.
Web Link: http://www.thetrustees.org/

Also you may want to look at the Mass Audubon site: http://www.massaudubon.org/index.php
Here you want to check out Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary or High Ledges Wildlife Sanctuary

A last recommendation would be a website that compliments a book called New England Waterfalls: http://www.newenglandwaterfalls.com/
Among the waterfalls I would recommend in western Mass are Bash Bish Falls, Campbell Falls, and Tannery Falls.

Hope you enjoy your visit!!

Thanks Jim, especially for the Hunt's in Hadley. This is kind of a return for me, so I wouldn't miss Bashbish Falls.....also October Mountain and Pittsfield State Forest, and hope to do some new explorations too.....do you know anything about the Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary in Monson? Not exactly western Mass b ut of interest..... Will also return to High Ledges, thre;s a wonderful old stone tower atop a ridge near there, that I found once by getting lost...and maybe Ice Glen in Stockbridge....

off to Hunt's now via lovely drive from Northammpton. Hope for scattered clouds in the afternoon, maybe Mt. Holyoke??? Thanks again.
