Falls
This was about 2 miles from my campspot along the North Umpqua River this past weekend. I was suprised to see the volume of water passing over this fall at this time of year. It was exactly the same as it was back in April when I was here. They were letting water out of the forbays upstream so that accounts for that I guess.
I'm not thrilled with this image...but it's pleasant at least...eh?

I like it Rick, but I'd like the upper parts to be darker. The sun looks fine. The big splash is really nice.

Pretty nice Rick. I with Marc on this one. Darker for sure on the top of the image (the woods) but not any more contrast.

I'd lower the brightness of the upper half and put a bit more contrast in the sky/tree tops also. It's a really nice image, Rick.

Rick,
I'll agree with everyone also. The forest is too overprocessed. I do thibk it has alot of potential with the correct processing.

Can't wait to get there...

Not overprocessed, I dont think...more like underprocessed. This is actually a campground and that haze is from a campfire

I hate to say this...because it's a similar comp and a similar story to Marc's...although his is like 10 times better...but I was going to shoot in the morning, but slept in too late (had a little too much of the ol 1800 the night before). I stopped by these falls right near my campground and the sun was in the perfect position for this shot.

The more I look at mine from the last visit, the more I wonder if I am going to be pleased with this when I get there.. just so much water.....
