OK, looks like my plans may have changed a bit. I was considering shooting at Mayflower Gulch after my company picnic on Saturday. But now we're being given the opportunity to spend the night at Keystone Resort (for free!). So, I'm thinking I may shoot sunset at Loveland Pass instead. Given that taking photos is a rare opportunity these days, I'd like to make the most of it. So, I'm trying to determine a nearby sunrise location, too, for Sunday morning. But I don't know where to go. All the best shots I've seen of Loveland Pass have been sunset. Can anyone think of any nearby locations that make for a nice sunrise shoot? Given my limited time, I'm hoping for something that doesn't involve a whole lot of hiking.

The saphire point overlook on Swan Mountain Road will give you sunrise over lake dillon with the 10 mile range in the BG.

You might be able to get up into Montezuma and shoot up towards radical hill. Not sure if this will get great morning light or not, but I suspect that it will.

When I stayed in Keystone last, I drove up Hwy 9 to Ute Pass Road, and then went up that road maybe a mile or so. Great views looking back to the Gore Range right from the road. Should be a good weekend to catch the moon setting during sunrise.
