Both shots are very cold looking which is hard to imagine when it's 90 outside. I'm looking forward to winter this year. I will hopefully get out and see this for myself a little bit.....
Marc, I love that shot.

I cant wait either. It seems like Autumn is changing early. I've already got red leaves on my maples in the back yard and leaves on the ground. Around West Linn, I see lots of trees changing to yellow already....wierd.

Marc,
I remember that image from you earlier. I think it's just awesome. As for wanting the cold dark winter to arrive, I'll have to say I love summer and hot weather. The photo opps in the winter may be better. I just love sun, light and warmth.

This is about the time when I've had enough heat as well. I can't wait for the crisp clear mornings of Fall and Winter. My knees complain, but at least I can sleep!

I love this stuff.....hot, hazy, smokey... makes the decision whether to stay home or go shooting an easy one....got the TV on all day long watching the U.S. Open (tennis).

Eric, it was a different comp but I've posted similar images from this evening last December before.

Marc, your images are freakishly(is that a word?) good on a regular basis. You seem to go above and beyond to get an image. Landscapes have never done much for me in general.....
Just reading a few of your posts has made me realize how much planning can go into a landscape image. Do you watch weather reports on a daily basis to find out about cloud cover, storms, etc?
Whatever you do, keep it up. There is a definite "WOW" factor in your work. Even though you've probably heard it all before...
