This is one of a pair of grebes i had photographed in one of the streams that feed Lake Geneva,I was in the stream in chest waders and had a pair of preening swans behind me,as their feathers drifted past me the grebe would come and get it and take it back to the nest,I have trimmed abit from the bottom of the image as it had oof weed in it

Hi Dave
These low level shots I find are really pleasing to the eye especially when they are this good.
Only nik is the head of the shadow is slightly cut off., apart from that minute nik-pik I take my hat off to you.
Did you have waders on

Interesting play of the eye betwwen the two. I like the angle as well, might like more on the left and less on the right though.

Lovely image Dave but agree that there is a tad too much space on the right. Also looks a wee bit blue to me; but that is probably puely subjective.

Nice one Dave,
'going the extra yard', and getting in there with it has paid off nicely!!
Looks pretty well balanced to my eye {due to the wake}, although maybe a slight trim off the right would work also.

Hi Dave,
Nice reflection and good to get eye contact between grebe and feather.
A nice low angle on the Grebe, and very brave to go wading with your gear, certainly wouldn't do that around here you never know what is at the bottom of the water
Agree that a bit of extra space to the left would be nice but I like the idea of the crop to almost pano....

The feather adds an extra dimension and added point of interest.
