Works for me Paul,
Maybe a touch too much space on the left, for my eyes, but its a nice profile shot of this chap, and the rope enhances the post very well.
Looks good!

Thanks, it was my first time with the sig 500mm and i'm only one handed atm due to an operation... The bird was centred in the fram and i cropped it to be more like this...

Difficult one as one person will say its too close to the edge of the frame and yet if you move it to the right it becomes too central so will jst say its a clean shot and agree that the rope adds something
Like the idea, maybe just a slight crop away from the left so that there is not quite so much -ve space, I also see a dark halo top of head and front of breast, A bit of dodging?
Agree the rope adds but would like to see more of it....
All the best

Hmm just noticed what you mean, (i'm not at home so don’t remember the settings) but all i did was process in C1 two exposures (noise reduction off and no sharpening), combined to keep white detail, some colour tweaking, then a light sharpen in focal blade. I'll check the raw if the halo is there too.
