Looking to buy one of the old Canon A-1 camera,is there any year that is better and is there a site to lookup the serial no.Thanks :confused:

Something to keep in mind when trying out the old A1 and AE1 Program bodies. Trip the shutter and if it makes a noticeable squeaking sound, don't buy it. We used to get these in on a regular basis back in the day, when I worked at a camera shop. It was a regular problem with used A1s and AE-1 Programs. The straight AE-1s and AT-1s didn't seem to have the same problem.

Or play it safe and get an F-1 (newer style) or my favorite old Canon body, T90.
