Taken from Timberline with the full moon last Thursday. Got a great one with the city lights from the Pittock Mansion the next night too - still working on that.
D200, 80-400 VR at 370 mm, tripod, F5.6 at 8 second exposure.
Sharpened, but no color enhancement at all. Small crop off left side.

Sandy,
This is a cool shot. The moon looks real good for such a long exposure. BTW, this is the Corn moon. The Harvest moon is the next full moon. The harvest moon is the full moon closest to the autumn equanox (spelling?)

Nice moon, boring photo though, no forground, no background, and no point of reference.
I have 2 nice ridgelines of trees on my monitor, don't you? Sandy

I'd say this is a great stock shot. It has loads of room for text on either side of the moon and a nice ridgeline to anchor it to the bottom. I could see this in a magazine on a two page spread.

Yes, I can see the ridge lines but I stand by my comment. I agree with Eric, With some well placed text there would be somewhere for the eye to move to. The Moon is fabulous, but to me, the image seems otherwise empty.
