Had a great backpacking trip this weekend with Momo V and his buddy Csaba.
The recent snowfall, unsettled weather, and sporadic snow showers made for some great photo sessions, and chilly camping.
Also I brought along my recently aquired compact camera (Fuji F30) which was sooooo fun!!! It's a great supplement to the 4x5... I got 20 shots for every 4x5 shot!

Jack,
Love the color of the lake and rocks in #569, almost surreal. The Fuji digital did a nice job. Was there a lot of post processing involved?
I wonder what this composition would look like with your medium format and Velvia film?

Hi Derek -
For that particular photo, I brightened up the foreground a bit. The color of the lake is real; and that was when it was cloudy! When the sun hit it, it looked like the Carribean. I also removed some purple fringing in the mountain at top right. The F30 doesn't do quite as well with big contrasty scenes like this as it does with small macro scenes.
Good question about how it would look with large format... probably better!
