Water Vole swimming
I took this image this morning, another beautiful morning so making the most of the weather. I had the 1.4 converter fixed on waiting for another vole, when this one swam out to grab some food. I managed to lock on to him when he headed back to the bank. At the time I wished I hadn't got the converter on but now I have looked at it a few times I quite like it.

Canon EOS 1D MkII, 500mm Lens, 1.4x Converter, F8, 1/250, ISO Rating 200.

Cheers

Absolutely brilliant Danny - a minature capybara. Best water vole pic I've seen in a long time.

Hi Danny

Another excellent image to add to your water vole collection. Great light, colour and texture on the water. The reflection works a treat too. It would probably work well without the 1.4x TC but this is a more intimate shot and works superbly. Good work.

cheers
