This afternoon I had the pleasure of the first steps of introducing this young Kestrel back to the wild after he had come into our care as a rescue. Taking shots of the release as it took place was a great experience.
Here is one of the shots I took, which I would like to share with you all
D2X - 400mm AF-S F2.8 (Handheld)
ISO 200, F5.6, 1/350sec

Hi Vincent
a very nice picture of a beautiful bird.
Lovely image of a kestrel Vince and I personally really like it when you show us something that you have returned to the wild and given it a chance to live its life as nature intended

Hello Vince
This is a cracking shot of a real beauty, I too would like to applaud you and the centre for the great work you do. I get so much enjoyment from being close to nature and photographing it, but really it doesn't get any thing from me other than the causes I am a member of. I honestly and truly admire the work you guys put in down there. Fantastic stuff.

Fantatsic image and agree with the comments already made. One veryminor nit that I seem to be alone with is the comp, bit too central for my taste and would crop a bit on the right. BG and exposure is superb. good skills.
All been said Vince, as you can see the stirling work done by people like yourself is very much appreciated, I'm sure the birds appreciate it too as shown by the fine images you produce of them...

A real beauty Vince. Its nice to see and hear of people giving something back to the environment as opposed to keep taking away. Great stuff.
Regards Chris.
