From the Spring
I'm not quite as tired of rainforest stream shots as I was in May, so here's one I overlooked earlier and just processed today. It was taken off trail on the stream above Elowah Falls.

Wish you were here in New England Marc-----green trees, graceful shapes, trees in the sun, trees in the mist, trees in the rain. We just missed the Joe Pye weed but leaves are just beginning to turn......

I grew up in Maine, Eric. I miss it sometimes as well. Autumn is such an exciting time everywhere, I never know where I'll go but I intend to make the trip back to photograph the New England fall one of these years.

Perfect to look at as it is raining hard outside for the first time three months. Oh! we are not supossed to tell people we have summer here, are we. I like this photo top to bottom.

The forground stream leads me nicely into the rest of the image. The stream is suprisingly free of sticks and debris. Well done! Spring is along ways off :frown:

excellent comp.....I can bet your feet are getting wet!!!!

question is...How do you get above Elowah Falls?????

Darren, there is a trail that forks off the main trail from the parking lot about .4 miles in. It ends at upper Elowah Falls (not very photogenic) about .7 miles later. From there, simply start hiking up the stream itself. It's a beautifully rugged creek with many more small falls higher up.
