Red Crested Pochard. Quite a rare sight for me even though I am just on the edge of the breeding area for these, I think all wild RCP in UK are assumed to be desended from escapee's.

He is looking right at you and they always seem to have a smile-quite a common sight here in switzerland and in winter there are hundreds,A very 3d effect here, maybe sharpen the head a little more but well caught anyway, and you are right i thought all rcp in the UK were escapees

Hi Terry
Nice flight shot, good sharp eye and strong colours.
I have seen Red Crested Pochard 'wild' in the Cotswold Water Park near Swindon, I even think some have bred there.
cheers
Sean
