If you haven't already seen it, this is a gem of an article by Darren Kilgore. It covers a lot of ground from Maroon Bells to the San Juans, with some nice photos as well:

I liked the article too. I will be visiting the area taking pictures and hiking from Sept 20 thru Sept 28th. If you see a burgundy Pathfinder with Texas plates, stop and say hello. Joe Smith
