This isn't really a photo question so much as a computer issue, but I know theres people here much more computer savvy than I.
When shuting down the computer I often get a message stating "Waiting for ccApp to respond" before actual shut down. Any idea what this program is and should it be running at all?
It's certainly not something I'm knowingly using.

Rob,

I was having a similar hang from a McAfee product. As soon as the subscription ran out I uninstalled the whole program and went to Zone Alarm Anti-Virus and Firewall.

You might want to check (edit) Symantec's site to see if they have a fix. Sometimes 'free' fixes cause more problems than they fix.

Go out to the Symantic/Norton site and do a search on ccApp. They have some suggestions there.

I've receieved this error on most versions of ccApp. Run Live Update and get any updates. You'll probably need to restart your computer. I actually had Live Update get a bad patch a few weeks ago. This was a bit of a pain to fix, but it ended working. Keep note of the error messages you receive then search for them on Symantec's site.

BTW, symantec's website is not friendly with anything but internet explorer. You'll need to use IE to browse their site fully.

The way things have been going with Symantec, I'm not sure how long I'll stay on that platform. I can't say that I'm all that happy with the product. It has become an increasing consumer of system resources.
