Headed to my local coast yesterday, as my local inland patch seems deserted. Although there was good numbers of redshank and curlew, i couldn't get anyware near the flighty/nervous blighters. I only managed a few frames and binned all of them except this one. I was tempted to bin this also, as it required a huge crop for a conventional type print/composition, but i think i can maybe salvage something from the day with this pano maybe
You will have to ignore my feeble attempt at adding a border, as ive forgoton the easiest way to do this. I think Jeremy suggested a method that i found ideal in the past, but i can't remember it now {as it was on the old forum}.

Like it, the pano crop really works well here, particularly with that gentle rise from the left towards the bird... def not one for the bin

A superb shot Alan.
I really like everthing about this one,the composition, colours, format, etc.
What I like most though is the delicate and quite graceful pose with the birds neck out-stretched like it is.

Hello Alan
Great capture that works a treat as a pano. For your border, go to "Image", then "Canvas size", choose "pixels" then size (anywhere from 2 to 10 pixels) , make your choice of canvas colour either black or grey, then click OK. HTH.
Best wishes

I really like it Alan, you are showing an interesting plumage for the specie in a good light with a good comp., what more are you asking for?
