Young Kestrel in Rehab
This young Kestrel is in the process of being rehabilitated back to the wild, this is because she was handed to us by a sancturay & after she had become slightly imprinted to humans.

Every day & weather pending I let her out of a release aviary, which is tucked away in the countryside within good habitat. By letting her out in stages she will be able to gain the necessary experience she will need to survive in the wild. She came in as a wild youngster, she must go back to the wild where she belongs but this is going to take a bit of time.

Whilst she is out I have the opportunity to capture shots of her, this was one of the shots I had today of which I am quite pleased with.

D2X - 400mm AF-S F2.8
ISO 200, F4.8, 1/180sec (Handheld)

A special thanks to Danny Green for some good advice :toast:
