Hello everyone, I've been very busy of late but I thought I'd try to get back on the horse and post a shot I took recently of my sister-in-laws orchid.
I made this detail shot and as I was working the image tonight I became aware that this might be a good b/w candidate. So I used my normal processing, used the channel mixer to convert and this is what I came up with. Was this the right way to go? I'd love to hear your opinions, thanks!
Canon 10D, 100mm macro, 10 sec @ f/22, + 1 exp bias, ISO 200, curves, sel color, sharpen

Going to take a quick minute from work and comment. Wayne this is a great shot, nice detail, sharp, DOF looks to be right on. Your conversion to B&W puts this over the top for me. Would make a great print hanging on the wall in someons home or office. Well done!

Wayne - I think this is a great candidate for black and white. I really like this picture - very delicate and interesting. Nicely done!

Just gorgeous Wayne! Beautiful light and detail, and a really nice b&w conversion. Great presentation too!
