Is there any spots for wildlife-shooting?
Still new to here and not yet discovered any spots for wildlife.

Well we get bears that break into our garbage cans, racoons that raid the bbq for the grease, something is eating all the cats in the neighborhood (cougars??) & deer that eat the landscaping so I suppose we do have plenty of wildlife in Snoqualmie!! LOL!!!

Right now we've been seeing elk in the fields between Snoqualmie and North Bend!! Close enough to get acceptable images of with a longer lens!! Nancy & I have been seeing owls in the forest around us lately too.

The key to finding & getting images of any of these is PATIENCE!!! LOTS of patience as one sits and waits and waits and waits at what is "hopefully" an opportune spot.

The Bellefields Nature Park in South Bellevue can be quite fruitful for waterfowl but using a kayak for this is more productive than on foot.

Juanita Bay Park in Juanita is also great for waterfowl.

Tiger Mountain & Cougar Mountain are both great easy access hikes but one needs to frequent them a LOT to find wildlife.

The hiking trails off of the I-90 corridor are all fruitful for the patient and are wonderful close in hiking.

Nancy & I are still up here on San Juan Island. We went kayaking today and saw harbor seals, lots of seals up close and personal. The weather was REAL WET and we didn't bring the cameras but it sure was cool getting within 20 feet of these guys while only 4 inches off the water!!

There can also be a bit of waterfowl, beavers, birds and such in the Seattle Arboretum. Boats are best for viewing them (you can rent canoes from UW), though there are a few good viewing spots accessable by foot. The Nisqually NWR is also a great place for birds.
