Not exactly nature, but thought I'd post it. I've been on the road a LOT lately and haven't posted anything in quite a while, but have been looking in on the forum some.
After the 3-Day, 60 mile breast cancer walk that my wife, Tim and Pam Ernst and about 1197 other people took part in a few days ago in Kansas city, we got to watch the Blue Angels for quite a while. I was thrilled and so was my wife, but you should have seen the kids!!
I shot a lot of pictures, but the lighting was horrible and these dudes are fast! But I did get a few I really liked. This one is a comp and was done for my daughter. Enjoy and sorry for the non-nature subject....

This photo should be in Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" music video! A very powerful visual message for all American's, and also for the clowns at the UN today...

Thanks guys.
Tim - It is in the folder to put in the "Patriotic" slideshow that I'm working on. Still got a few images to shoot to finish it up, but it should hopefully be pretty nice....

Pretty cool, Glenn. That plane looks pretty sharp to me - was your camera tracking the plane, or was it stationary? (I have little experience shooting moving targets!) Good to see you posting!

Tim,
No, he was moving...... FAST! That was during a fly-by and a roll, a second later he was upside down.
I was shooting at 8 frames per second and tracking with these guys. It's a bit like wingshooting, you have to try and get a fluid motion swinging with the object and firing as you go. It was a lot of fun and a little challenging...

Great composite Glenn! A really good tribute to those who put it on the line for the rest of us. Thanks for sharing!

Nice catch Glenn. Glad to see you got to see some sites while visiting KC. I got to see the Angels as they headed for home and buzzed my house Sunday evening. But by the time I made it outside all I saw was afterburners.
