OK, I kinda forgot, make that, I never really knew how to set up my PC/printer to print something that looked similar to my screen. It's now been a couple of years since I tryed and I've completely forgotten everything I need to know. My prints are coming out way too dark...I mean really dark. My Fiery Sunrise photo prints completely black on the bottom with no detail at all.
I've calibrated the monitor and saved the profile so that part should be OK. I need help though with the rest. Step by step instructions on how to print what I see on the screen would be great. I have a PC, PS-CS2, Spyder, Epson 2200.
Anyone care to tackle some instructions? If ya want to show me in person I'll buy the beer!

Eric,
Are you sure your'e not double profiling? In the print with preview box, you should let photoshop manage the colors. I like to use relative colormetric and check black point compensation. Also make sure you put the correct printer/paper profile from the drop down box.... In your epson printer software, see if you have the icm box checked. You should have off checked(with no color managment). If both photoshop and your epson color managment is on, your double profiling and your print may come out too dark. Before you do any of the above, you should go to the main bar in phootoshop, go to view-proof setup- custom and click on the printer/paper combo youur using. I also have "preserve rgb numbers" unchecked If the profile isn't there, you can go to Epsons websiite and download the profiles from there. I have the R1800 and the software is pretty similar to your's.
