This is just a fun thread. I was writing a small article about the best images I have seen. So I thought what about NPN. I'm listing few of my favorite images I have seen at NPN.
I'll keep adding the images as and when I get the links and time. Feel free to add yours. Now this is "as it comes to mind list", alright. So no numbers but just bullets.
I have a copy of Guy's "Pastel Prelude" hanging on my wall, BTW, along with Guy's Cottonwood in Slickrock Bowl and Striped Slot, which are among my all-time favorites. Also hanging on my wall is this image by Danny Burk. All four of these, I believe, have were at one time posted in ESS.

So many pics inspire me, but given my profession and obvious love of clouds, three stand out for me, and then one perhaps rather odd choice...NPN
A great list, Prashant, and Thank You for considering me worthy enough to be part of it.
It's been discussed here before, but I have seen a helluva lot of incredible photographs roll through NPN in the years I have been involved. It would be great to get some of these images in a "Best of NPN" coffee table book. The quality would easily surpass many photo books I regularly see. Mark Hobson showed us what is possible and produced a beautiful high-quality book. I'd like to see something similar with many more images and NPN members.

Wow, I'm honored to be on the list too!
My own list will be too long and is really always changing. On my own walls I have some of my own work as well as Michael Gordon, Adam Gibbs, Darwin Wiggett, Dan Baumbach, Mark Adamus, Danny Burk, and Tony Kuyper (I have a lot of wall space).

I'm not going to name specific images, but names instead - since after all, NPN (and thereby also the best of NPN) is made of people, not images.
I not only very much enjoy the work by Ronnie Gaubert (whose macro work is inspirational), Bob Steele, Guy Tal & Marc Adamus (hope I spelled all names right... ), but also the fact that these excellent photographers continuously provide equally excellent comments & critique on images posted by other people. The list is not complete, of course, but these four somehow made it into my "long term memory"...

Having only been a member (and a photographer, for that matter) since earlier this year, I'm continually impressed by the work on this site. Good to know that those of you who have been around are still impressed by each other.
I've gotta say that my favorites vary quite a bit, and my tastes seem to change a lot. But there are some favorite photographers (or at least ones who I feel show me where I'd like to go) - Marsel von Oosten, Marc Adamus, Jerry Greer, Mahesh Thapa, Michael Gordon, Guy Tal, Darwin Wiggett among others - I find it nearly impossible to pick particular shots though. And I've just noticed that they are all mainly ES&S, which probably tells me something about myself, since I haven't consciously chosen to do ES&S (and like the Fauna category a lot. I guess I don't find as many opportunities there).
Anyway, thanks to everyone who makes this site so great. (OK...I'll pic one photo...."Downpour" by Marsel von Oosten.)

There are so many fantastic photos, it's so hard to think of just one. But if I had to narrow it down, I would say Anil Rao's "Stone Abstract" is one of my favorites. (I don't know how to create a link, but it won the 2005 EP ESS first place award.) There have been so many awesome photos posted lately, it's hard to figure out how the moderators pick a top one each week. Keep it up, NPN gets better all the time!!

Why thank you Basil, I'm very honored.
I have my favorites too - my friends Brian Small, Garth McElroy, and Bob Royse. I guess it shouldn't be any surprise as their shooting styles are similar to my own. Work hard to get images of a very wide variety of North American bird species, and make beautiful images while doing it.

There are so many wonderful images to pick from I don't think I could narrow it down to just one or two. As far as photographers, I would have to say the person whose work inspires me the most on a consistent basis, and whose work transcends from "beautiful image" to "art" most often would be Anil Rao. Such a great eye, and talent to go with it!! Renae Sandburg and Lori Kincaid would be right up there as well.

Rick Lundh's Shot of Hood

and
Marc Adamus's Blue Night
And my other favorite...as this shot just strikes me and I've never seen another birch as perfect as Mike Moats' shot here!
I would guess my next purchase will be another of Adumus's, probably his most recent, The Infinite.
