A Spuggie
20D, 400/2.8 + 2x, ISO400, 1/160 @ f10, EV -1/3, A-327 + BH1, C1Pro + CS2.

Hi,

Taken the other day whilst returning to my car following a wasted shoot, thought I had to go home with something on the card so sat on a bench near a bush that was being frequented by House Sparrows and had a coffee, two hours later I returned to the car with a card full of Sparrow images

Often ignored or dismissed I think the humble House Sparrow has a a certain appeal and I enjoy photographing them..

All the best

So that is a "spuggie" - always wondered  Anyway a nice photo in a fine setting. The inclusion of the red berry really adds. :wavey:

Nicely taken and framed shot of a bird that I both like but find irritating sometimes when squads of them 'decorate' my motorbike when parked in the back garden!

A "spuggie" .I've never heard that name before lol.

Anyway great shot with a nice setting. And its true, just because people see the humble sparrow alot does'nt mean they shoud'nt be photographed.I think they are great, and are very entertaining to watch.

Hi Phil

Up to your usual very high standard, like the pose and composition!

Hi Phil,
I think they're lovely little birds and definately make great photographic subjects.

I think this is a superb shot, the pose is great, the light is nice and the detail is excellent. What I really like though is the attractive surroundings which show the birds habitat off superbly but without distracting attention from the bird itself.
I like this one a lot.

We tend to ignore the things we take for granted until they are endangered or gone.

Nice shot of a very photogenic bird.
