As things are a bit slow I'd thought I'd put this up. Macro is not really my thing, but I have found it challenging and rewarding when you are stuck at home and only have a small garden to work in.

Hi Paul
a very nice picture of the Pond Skater.

Looks good to me, not that easy to get good images of these, would be nice to see it slightly larger and I am not a fan of the frame (but that is a personal thing so not really a nit), I would perhaps like to see a bit more separation from the weed so that you can see the tension on the water at the front as well, not sure but it looks like there is a dust bunny just above the insect.
Nice one particulary if close up is not your usual fodder..

Hi Paul
Never tried these and as Phil says I can imagine they are not easy to get good images of but you appear to have done well here!

An interesting creature Paul, and a VERY nicely taken shot
An interesting looking creature and a well captured image.
Would have been nice to see a full unobstructed reflection but I'd imagine this is very easy to say but not quite as easy to do.

Very difficult thing to take Paul, very well done. The reflection distracts me a little but they are so low to the water that this would be difficult to avoid, I love the leg on the rhs showing the surface tension of the water
