As many of you noticed, earlier this week I posted a reponse to a thread Jody started that was uncalled for and unnecessary. I have apologized to Jody, but I think I also owe an apology to the board. I have no excuse. My post was stupid and unnecessary. Unfortunately, every 6-months or so I seem to leave an irrate and unnecessary post. I guess it must be the stupid, petty lawyer in me that unfortunately rises to the top on occasion.
As I told Jody, he's one of the very best contributors here on RMNP, and genuinely nice guy who is always responsive and helping. I only hope that my stupidty does not discourage him or others from posting here on RMNP.
I know that we live in a world of half measures and sham apologies. Apologies without action are barely worth the time it takes to say I'm sorry. Because of my own stupidity, I've decided that as a consequence, I will not enter any photo into the fall photo contest. One of my favorite things about CNP/RMNP has always been the fall color photo contest. I love fall in the mountains, and I love photography, so the contest naturally is appealling to me. So this is a real (and deserved) consequence for me.

Brian, we need a few more lawyers that have a conscience like yours!
I thought Jody's language was a bit inciteful myself and it didn't surprise me that someone got a little irritated. But it was a small thing that could have been ignored.
Wasn't a big deal IMO but like I said: you have a strong conscience - go with it.
