It's been awhile since I posted or commented. Didn't touch a camera for three months Anyway finally managed to get a week off to visit my favourite spots. Saw this Hummingbird Hawk-moth and spend a few hours to get a half decent image. Great fun!

Superb timing and clean BG here Paul.
I'd have liked slightly more DOF but that would have been at the expense of ISO noise probably.

Hi Paul
a very nice shot. I would love to see this moth. I don't think it has reached Aberdeen yet!

Very well done,I have spent sometime trying to get Flying Dragon fly shots this year, and that's pretty hard, and I used to see these moths alot in my old house garden, and I had a lot of fun trying to get a decent image.....

Really nice image Paul love the bg which sets off the subject very well, I personally would have liked all the body to be in focus but very nice anyway.

Seen them twice in my garden in the last month but gone by the time I have grabbed the camera. Really nice shot!
