Infrared w/ 1d Mk. II

I have been reading a little bit about shooting digital using an infrared filter, such as a Hoya Rm72. Some people have been saying that some cameras are more sensitive to IR and won't work as well as others. How would my 1d Mk. II work using only an RM72, with no camera conversion? Has anybody used this combination? Will it work?
