I was under the impression that the images posted here were not able to be right clicked and saved....

Last night a friend of mine was checking out this site and right clicked on an image and was able to save it, he then emailed it to me with his comments (good of course)...

anyone know if there was a glich in the system last night???

hmm...I just right clicked and saved one of my shots too. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen?

The main gallerys have a GIF loaded over the top of the image, the images posted here do not. Not sure of the reason why not but these images have been snatchable for a very long time (I've snatched a few here and there for future reference).

I beleive the reason is so that you can give permission for the regional forum members to help you out with post processing technics by pulling your image down, tweak it, then repost it. The agreement is that if you do this with someone's image, you provide detailed instructions on how you modified the image.

Read this article. The second paragraph addresses this concern directly:

I've gotten a few jobs because it's so easy to grab images, even protected ones (Print Screen key). Someone trying to track down a photo will usually enclose it in an email, making it very easy to find the original source file.

The best protection seems to be smaller and/or highly compressed images with clearly visible watermarks.
