RMNP Fall colors
I know Todd C. has provided some great stuff from other parts of the state, but we were in RMNP this past weekend and I thought it was beautiful. This was the first time I have been able to shoot in the fall out here and had a blast. You folks are lucky and be sure to appreciate every moment you have in those mountains, us out on the plains are jealous!

Dave,

Just because those guys live in the mountains doesn't mean their pictures are any better than yours. Nice shot!

Dave, I like your shot. I think this was the same clump I was treading in, top of Horseshoe park?? Nice color but might fade fast now. Its hard to find good color in the right kind of places up there. I tried the sky view since it was a clear blue sky day.

I just took some nice shots this mornng at the Dallas Divide. Sky was blue, plenty of snow on the peaks, and some of the aspens at the usual turnoff have nice color. Best color so far on this trip.

On Sunday, colors were not good at Silver Jack reservoir. Too light or green. Snow was about 6--8 inches deep. I did not try and drive to Owl Creek Pass becaude of the snow. Aspens at the intersection to Owl Creek Pass were green or lacking leaves.

Kebler pass last week on Wednesday before the snow storm on Thursday was not so good. Poor color and grey skies. Joe Smith
