Now that Canon has officially brought in the dust removal feature using the following
* Low-pass filter vibration at power-on (can be interrupted)
• Anti-static coating on sensor surfaces
• Software based dust-removal (camera maps dust, removed later)
I was wondering for the existing models, can we upgrade only the firmware for software based dust removal? Any thoughts? Ofcourse we can do it in the PS-CS2 the same funcationality.

That's really a question for Canon.
I'm intrigued by the anti-static coating too. I wish Canon would offer that as a service to older models.

Yep. That would be really good. I've written to the Canon guys & I think all of them are busy in Photokina! I'ven't got any reply!
