Hi All,
I don't know what this duck is, but it posed long enough for a few snaps this morning. Unfortunately, the sun was a little strong and so contrast was a little bit of a problem.
Techs were:
Nikon D2X, 200-400MM vr, 1.7TC @680MM, 1/350 AT F6.7
C and C welcome.
Kind regards Chris.

Nice one Chris!
Tricky lighting and a plumage that doesn't help the exposure situation, but a fine result!!!

Nice reflection Chris, looks like a young (2006 model) Tufted Duck to me but I am no expert in that (or any other) area

Hi Chris I agree with it being a Tufted Duck. Nice portrait, only nit is I would clean up a few of the spots in the water.
