Dallas Divide Image from Monday Sep 25
Visited Dallas Divide for sunrise last Monday (Sep 25th). Color was pretty good, similar to last year. Scrub oak color is nice and the snow on the mountains made for a pleasing scene. Some of the aspens in the foreground will be losing their leaves soon while others nearer to the mountains are just starting to turn. Fun place to shoot. Kipp. :wavey:

Hi guys I came back today in the morning, was driving all the famous spots through colorado and it was awesome. I went to the san juans as well, just to let you know Brent, it is awesome down in the san juans, but I couldn't take any photos because I forgot my second battery and the charger. :(
I would like to get there again, but I have to go back to germany, but I will be there next year for sure :)
bye

I just got back from an extended trip and would have to say the Maroon Bells on Sunday and San Juans around Dallas Divide earlier this week were the best.

I will post some images once I have a chance to do some post processing. I am really glad I took three batteries. Thanks to James I now know I can charge my battery from my car using an adapter. There was quite the showing of folks at the Bells last weekend.

Silver Jack was a bit of a disapointment. It just got hit too hard. But there were many trees that hadn't turned yet. So it still has potential.

Wlson Mesa was definately the highlight of my trip in terms of peak color and overall beauty. I could not stop taking pictures there and ended up finishing off my card as well as two batteries. :jump:
