Most of my fall photography is going to be limited to day trips from the Boulder area. I'd really like to head down to the Garden of the Gods when the scrub oak has turned. Does anyone know what the conditions are like now?

Hi Harold,
I didn't take a critical look today, however, the cottonwoods are turned nicely. It might be a little early for the scrub oaks. Maybe someone else could comment on that. otherwise, try to be out there prior to sunrise for the best lighting.

The Garden looks pretty nice as I drove through yesterday too.

I just had my wife drive through the Garden this morning, 10-5. She reported that the colors haven't really started yet and most trees and bushes are still a ways off. Maybe in two weeks it will start looking good.
