Greater Flamingo, Santa Pola saltpans/marshes, nr Alicante Spain - second go with my Oly travel kit last weekend - Oly E500, Nikon AIS 300F2.8, Olympus E1.4 tc (equivelent to 840mm field of view), Tripod,

I have now sourced the Oly eyepiece magnifier ME-1 and it makes manual focussing a bit easier, but still missing autofocus with this big lens setup!

Hi Mike

Nice image - I haven't done any birding in Spain for many years but in my many previous trips never found a location where you could get close to these, will have to remember this locality!

Nice to see, would have prefered a touch more room in front of the birds but what a splendid pair they are....
