Wain Wath Force, Upper Swaledale
Busy summer. Just got back from 2-weeks in the UK. Had a chance to do a little nature photography while I was there. For the most part, I have done little in the way of nature shooting. I have been doing more travel photography lately. Hope to get out again soon with anyone that will allow me to tag along.

Anyway here is one from the North Yorkshire Dales of England.

Camera Model: Canon 350D
Shutter speed: 1/6 sec
Aperture: f/22
ISO: 100
Exposure mode: Av
Metering mode: Evaluative
Lens: Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L
Focal length: 70mm
Tripod/Remote Release

Hi Tim,

Great image! I like the colour as Darren mentioned, but for me the magic is the shutter speed effect on the water - blurred enough to convey the motion but in focus enough to see the characteristic bubbles seen in what looks like darkly stained water (blackwater).

Again, great image.

Nice job Tim. You nailed the shutterspeed and the exposure. Good to see a post from you again. :wavey:

Makes the word "Alchemy" come to mind. Color changing and shape changing and all those wonderful Celtic folktale imspirations. Wonderful composition, color and lighting. This deserves a toast with Guinness Stout!

I haven't been at NPN long enough to have missed you, but I sure am glad to become acquainted through this photo. Will look forward to seeing more posts. :toast: :toast:
