Just wanted to let y'all know that the color from Denver through to the base of Kenosha Pass is some of the best I have seen driving around the state the last few days. Lots of gold colored leaves.

Monarch Pass on the Salida is also the best I have seen too. Both these areas (above) have not just yellow leaves but lots of gold groves for you finger clicking delight. Great cottonwood color too.

Mt. Sopris Area - West Sopris Creek road, great scrub brush, mixture of aspen colors, no gold, hardly any browning aspens.

Forest Road 265 (This road is on the south side of McClure Pass going to Colbran.) - Never been on this road before until the other day, now it will be on my list for every year. Huge mix of colors, green through yellow, no gold as of yet, looks like a lot of potential though. I would say this area is good for at least through next weekend IMO (if that means anything).
